FSB induces apoptosis via the mitochondrial signaling pathway in AGS cells. (A) Decrease in mitochondrial membrane potential induced by FSB. FSB-treated/untreated cells for 24 h were stained with 3,3′-dihexyloxacarbocyanine iodide stains, and the alteration in fluorescent intensity was determined using flow cytometry. (B) AGS cells were treated with the indicated concentrations of FSB for 24 h. The cell lysates were subjected to SDS-PAGE and analyzed by western blotting. The Bax/Bcl-xL ratio was determined using densitometric analysis. **P<0.01 vs. control.
