HCT116 cells were transiently transfected with 20 nM nontargeting (siRNA, control) or siLDHA for 72 h. Lipofectamine RNAiMAX was used as the transfection reagent. (A) LDHA and CBS protein expression levels in siRNA or siLDHA transfected HCT116 cells are shown. (B) The density of LDHA protein was normalized to that of β-actin and expressed as a percentage of the corresponding siRNA transfected HCT116 cells. Data represent mean ± SEM and expressed as a percentage of the corresponding siRNA CTL. LDHA: n = 5, for each group; CBS: n = 4, for each group. *P < 0.05 vs siRNA (based on two-tail Student’s t-test for pairwise comparison).
