RelB Δ484–579 has altered NF-κB-dependent transcriptional activity. A, HEK cells were transiently co-transfected with pcDNA control, full-length FLAG-RelB (WT), or RelBshort (FLAG-RelB Δ484–579) in addition to a κB-luciferase promoter reporter construct and a β-galactosidase reporter. B, cells were treated with TNFα (0, 0.1, and 1 ng/ml) for 24 h at 5% CO₂. Relative light units (RLU) were normalized to β-galactosidase absorbance for each sample. These non-parametric data were normalized by transforming the data by log10. Data presented are mean ± S.E. for n = 4 experiments. Statistical analysis was performed using repeated measures one-way ANOVA, with Tukey's multiple comparisons test. A p value ≤ 0.05 was deemed significant (*, p ≤ 0.05).
