Injection of HCN4-DN(AAA) results in altered cardiac function. (A) Injecting wild-type HCN4 (HCN4-OE) into 2-cell embryos did not significantly alter heart rate. (B) Inhibiting HCN4 ion channel function (HCN4-DN[AAA]) resulted in significantly higher heart rates in all injection conditions (Welch's test, *p < 0.05).
