Five Focus Groups with 5–6 members of community in uGu District. There were three meetings conducted by the research assistant for each of the focus groups.
  1. To discuss the purpose of the research, obtain consent and explain about taking photographs and ethics around this

  2. To collect the cameras to develop the pictures

  3. To facilitate the focus group which lasted for 45–60 minutes in duration and were conducted in isiZulu

Seven Semi-structured interviews were conducted with members of the community in uGu. The research assistant conducted the interviews lasting for 30–45 minutes in isiZulu.The principal researcher conducted five participant observations by visiting their homes with the isiZulu-speaking research assistants and an interpreter.
