The constitutive equations of the elastic rod model are shown in Eqs. 24. These equations allow us to compute all elastic parameters from the slopes of Fig. 2 A and B and from the helical rise-helical twist slopes computed for each force (SI Appendix, Fig. S3). Quoted errors represent deviations from the linear fits. Constants obtained in this work are compared with other experimental (exp.) work.
