Collagen VI positive area in injured and non-injured control and CR muscles. Representative images of tibialis anterior (TA) muscles immunostained with antibody against collagen VI, to detect fibrotic areas. Nuclei were counterstained with DAPI. Images are taken from both C57Bl/6 and DBA/2 22 month old mice, for both calorie restricted (CR) and control groups. Right TA (RTA) muscles were injected with notexin one week before the end of the experiment while the left TA (LTA) muscles were uninjured. Bar size: 100 µm.
