The translation and transcription of flaB2 was restored in the ΔearA-sp and Δ3A mutants. (A) Western blot analysis showed that FlaB2 was expressed in both ΔearA-sp and Δ3A mutants, as well as in the wild-type cells but not in the ΔearA mutant or in a mutant deleted for flaB2. (B) The transcription of flaB2 was restored in ΔearA-sp and Δ3A strains, as detected by qRT-PCR experiments. While transcripts for flaB2 were barely detectable in the ΔearA mutant, flaB2 transcription in the ΔearA-sp and Δ3A strains exceeded that of wild-type cells. Error bar shows standard derivation from nine data sets from three biological repeats, each of which were performed with triplicates.
