Effects of FCL on cell viability and LPS-induced NO, PGE₂, TNF-α production and iNOS, COX-2 expressions in BV2 cells. Cells were pretreated with various concentrations of FCL for 1 h and stimulated by LPS (100 ng/mL) for an additional 24 h. Cell viability (a) was measured by the MTT assay. NO production (b) was assayed in the stimulated cell culture media. Cytokine level was evaluated by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for PGE₂ (c), TNF-α (d). Total cell lysates (20 μg) were examined for iNOS (130 kDa) and COX-2 (74 kDa) protein expressions by Western blotting, and the relative expression levels were normalized by an internal control, β-actin (42 kDa) (e).
