Growth sensitivity to low pH. Cultures of isogenic wild-type (WT) or null mutants were grown for 18 h at 30°C in APG medium buffered to pH 2.7 with phosphoric acid. Absorbance of cultures was measured at 600 nm and values were normalized to growth recorded at under control conditions (APG medium, pH 4.0).
