Children diagnosed with SAM and medical complications are treated via stabilisation treatment programmes (in-patient). Children diagnosed with SAM without medical complications are treated in out-patient treatment programmes. Successful treatment was defined as the number of children discharged from stabilisation treatment programmes and out-patient treatment programmes. SAM = severe acute malnutrition.
