Steady-state emission titrations of [Ru(bpy)2(BNIQ)]2+ with DNA hairpins containing a variable XY base pair at 25 °C. λex = 440 nm, [Ru] = 4 μM. [DNA] reflects concentration of full sequence. Samples were prepared in 5 mM Tris, 50 mM NaCl, pH 7.5. Emission spectra were integrated from 590 to 850 nm.
