Statistical analysis of currents, examples of which are shown in Fig. 1, demonstrates an about two-fold increase in the channel conductance (G, pS) along the series KH₂PO₄ < KCl ≈ KBr ≈ KNO₃ < KClO₄ < KSCN. Inset: Measurements of the current (pA) reversal potentials (mV) for 0.5 M vs 0.1 M (cis vs trans) solutions of KH₂PO₄ and KSCN. Obtained transport numbers for cations (t+) are t+ = 1.00 ± 0.03 for KH₂PO₄ and t+ = 0.97±0.03 for KSCN.
