Quantitative data are means ± SD and were compared between subjects with hypertension and controls with the unpaired Student's t test. Categorical data were compared between the two groups with Fisher's exact test. Based on Bonferroni's correction, a P value of <0.0050 (0.05/10) was considered statistically significant.
