Aβ induces ROS production via L-type Ca2+ channel-mediated Ca2+ influx, which activates PI3K/Akt signaling pathway. mTORC1 activated by Akt up-regulates CDK2 via S6K1/4EBP1-mediated HIF1α expression and mTORC1-dependent autophagy inhibition, which is closely critical for Aβ-induced Tau phosphorylation and neuronal apoptosis in neuronal cell.
