The anti-autophagic action of mTnfaip8. The anti-autophagic activities of mTnfaip8 (WT) and the mTnfaip8 triple mutant (MT) were assessed by analyzing the levels of autophagy marker LC3 II (a) and by quantitative confocal image analyses of GFP-LC3 puncta formation (b) in Hepa 1-6 cells after induction of autophagy by rapamycin (1 μM) for 3 h. The triple mutant (MT) dramatically lost inhibitory regulation of rapamycin-induced autophagy, whereas wild type (WT) demonstrated normal autophagic inhibition.
