RMT: resting motor threshold; ndM1: non-dominant M1; dM1: dominant M1; iM1: ipsilesional M1; cM1: contralesional M1; MSO: maximal stimulator output; PSD: post-stroke duration; MCA: middle cerebral artery; ACA: anterior cerebral artery; IC: internal capsule; CR: corona radiata; BG: basal ganglia. Group values are expressed as means ± SD.
Significant difference in age between groups (p=.014)
Mean RMT values include an RMT of 100% for C11, S11, and S12 due to an inability to elicit an MEP at maximum stimulator output.
Ipsilateral active motor thresholds (AMTs) were used to determine stimulating intensities (C11: 60% MSO; S11: 56% MSO).
Contralesional RMT was used to determine stimulating intensities, as AMT was indeterminable.
