Participants first complete the Training Phase (A) in which they simply click and listen to the reference, or full‐quality sound clip, along with the 6 versions of the reference carrying a range of sound quality levels. In the Testing Phase (B), subjects are presented with the reference and 6 versions of one sound at a time and use the sliding bars to rate the sound quality of each sound.
