Polynomial contrasts revealed that the non-reinforced responding of abstinent partners followed a linear (but not quadratic) trend. Cocaine-reinforced responding of their social partners followed a quadratic (but not linear) trend, but cocaine-intake of their social partners followed a linear (but not quadratic) trend.
