Pdxdc1 knockdown increases locomotor activity. (a) Differences in horizontal locomotor activity were seen between sham and V2 groups at 5 min (P<0.05). At 10 min, differences between –shRNA and V3LMM groups (P<0.05) were seen with one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA; F3,113=2.785, P=0.0441) with Tukey’s HSD. No other significant differences were seen. (b) Horizontal distance moved in the first 5 min was greater in the Pdxdc1 knockdown group. Combined groups: controls vs anti-Pdxdc1: **P=0.0076, unpaired two-tailed Student’s t-test. (c) Total vertical activity was greater in the Pdxdc1 knockdown group. Combined group of controls vs anti-Pdxdc1: *P=0.03, unpaired two-tailed Student’s t-test (sham n=20, −shRNA n=10, V2LMM n=18, V3LMM n=1.
