At 12 weeks of age, HFD-fed mice showed significantly higher body weight than those fed with LFD. (b) mRNA expression levels of ER stress response markers in LFD- and HFD-fed mice. HFD dramatically upregulated the mRNA expression levels of ER stress response markers in obese mice. The results are the means ± SDs (n = 7). P values (∗P < 0.05; ∗∗∗P < 0.001) indicate significant differences compared to those of LFD-fed mice.
