Gallic acid reduced matrix metalloproteinase-1 (MMP-1) expression. NPC-BM1 cells were treated with gallic acid for 24 h and the expressions of MMP-1 related to the mRNA (A); protein in cytosol (B) and conditioned medium; (C) were measured by qRT–PCR, Western blot and ELISA analysis respectively. The gallic acid dose-dependently decreased MMP-1 gene and protein expressions in NPC-BM1 cells. Delta Rn (dRn) indicated the magnitude of fluorescence signal generated during the PCR at each time point.
