Patients who experienced the most marked improvement in GCS had the greatest reduction in total lesion volume between the two scans. There was a negative correlation between GCS change and total SWI lesion volume change (R = −0.718, p = 0.009). Data points for patients with no change, or very little change, in lesion volume are represented by over-lapping data points due to an equivalent change in lesion volume value.
