Quantitative data are means ± SD and were compared between subjects with CKD and controls with the Mann-whitney u test. Categorical data were compared between the two groups with the pearson's chi-square test. Based on Bonferroni's correction, a P value of <0.0028 (0.05/18) was considered statistically significant.
