GRO‐α, HGF and IL‐8 reduced the percentage of apoptotic cardiomyocytes. (A) mCardios were treated with TNF‐α only or with the addition of recombinant GRO‐α, HGF, and/or IL‐8 (B) alone or (C) in combination. After 48 hrs, mCardios were stained for annexin V and PI and analysed by flow cytometry. (D) Activated/cleaved caspase‐3 in TNF‐α‐treated mCardios was assayed by Western blotting after the addition of recombinant GRO‐α, HGF, IL‐8 or (E) IL‐6. α‐Tubulin was used as an internal control.
