Bead-based fractionation improves size distribution of sonicated DNA.

(A) Although RNA does not interfere with ChIP, RNase treatment allows an accurate estimate of size and concentration of sonicated DNA. (B–D) Bead-based size fractionation of DNA in (A) visualized by (B) 1.5% agarose-TAE gel containing ethidium bromide, (C) 1.5% agarose-TAE gel containing SYBRgold, and (D) TapeStation. Nucleic acid concentration appears to affect migration rate in the SYBRgold gel.
