Eggs were incubated for 11 days and treated with the indicated substances (NovoRapid: 3.3 U/mL; extracts: 300 mg/L) dissolved in HBSS buffer (300 μL volume) for up to 3 hours. Blood glucose levels were determined with a blood glucose meter.
