| Inhaled/systemic corticosteroid use within 1 month |
| Antihistamine use within 1 week |
| Unable to stop anti-allergic medication |
| Unstable or serious systemic disease |
| Pregnant/lactating |
| History of nasal surgery within the previous 3 months |
| Chronic sinusitis and/or nasal polyps (proven by endoscopy, paranasal plain X-ray or computed tomography) |
