Brevican mRNA levels were highest at 4 hours after fear conditioning and significantly higher than the home cage group and unpaired group (B). mRNA levels of neurocan were significantly higher at 4 hours after fear conditioning as compared to home cage group, tone only group and 24 hours after fear conditioning (C). *P < 0.05 vs. vehicle.
