(a): Conventional FPP imaging method; (b) Proposed method. These images correspond to case 3 in Fig. 4. The first frame corresponds to 6 heartbeats after initial wash-in of contrast in the LV cavity. Each subsequent frame is showing every other heartbeat (i.e., skipping one R-R in between each frame). The DRA at the septal wall in the conventional image series is relatively severe and persists through the myocardial enhancement phase. The image series corresponding to the proposed method shows a significant reduction in severity and width of the DRA.
