Strain propagation. Propagation of strain subsequent to ligand-binding to the allosteric pocket is visualized in the random network and in the two designed structures. Snapshots taken at different time moments during each simulation are shown in similar perspectives. Network bonds are displayed bicolored, with blue indicating stretching of the bond and red denoting compression as compared to the corresponding natural bond length.
