Decay-accelerating activity of CFH on SPR sensor chips. A, C3bBb was formed on a CM5-sensor chip by flowing C3, CFB, and CFD over an immobilized C3b “seed.” The C3bBb DAAs of 20 nm V62-CFH and 20 nm I62-CFH were compared with that of 20 nm plasma CFH (p-CFH). B, these experiments were repeated but with a 1:2 mixture of CFH and PspCN (i.e. CFH:P). The curve for I62-CFH from (A) (i.e. with no PspCN) is included for reference; note that I62-CFH and plasma-derived CFH–PspCN (p-CFH:P) have overlapping curves. The data shown are representative of an experiment performed four times.
