Effect of rearing temperature on larval European eel (Anguilla anguilla) length (A) or yolk area (G) at specific developmental Stages (1, 2 and 3) and length (B) or yolk area (H) in real time, as well as effect of age on length (C-F) or yolk area (I-L) at each temperature. Exponential regressions explain the relationship between age and length (C-F; P < 0.025, R2 > 0.98) as well as between age and yolk area (I-L; P < 0.006, R2 = 0.99) at all temperatures. Values represent means (± SEM) among four crosses at each temperature. Treatments with the same letters are not significantly different (P > 0.05).
