Effect of rearing temperature on larval European eel (Anguilla anguilla) expression of igf-2a (A-B) or igf-2b (I-J) at specific developmental Stages (1, 2 and 3) and igf-2a (C-D) or igf-2b (K-L) in real time, as well as effect of developmental age on igf-2a (C-F) or on igf-2b (I-L) expression at each temperature. Relationships between developmental age and igf-2a expression can be explained by linear regressions at 18, 20 and 22°C (P < 0.025, R2 > 0.61; Fig F-H). Relationships between developmental age and igf-2b expression can be explained by a quadratic parabola regression (M) at 16°C and by cubic sigmoidal regressions (N-O) at 18°C and 20°C (P < 0.0001, R2 > 0.84; Fig 6I–6K). Values represent means (± SEM) among four crosses at each temperature and treatments with the same letters are not significantly different (P > 0.05).
