Inactivation of bacteria E. coli in three different electroporation chambers. Stacionary and two flow-through chambers: new colinear (MSFT) and linear with parallel plate electrodes. Number of pulses was (a) 8 pulses or (b) 20 pulses. Inactivation of E. coli is expressed as a log10 inactivation. Bacterial cells were exposed to rectangular electric pulses with the duration 100 µs, repetition frequency 10 Hz and electric pulse amplitude 15 kV/cm. Density of the treated sample was 107 CFU/ml, number of independent experiments n = 4.
