EMT-associated markers in lacrimal gland tissues after duct ligation-induced injury and ligature release. Double staining on control lacrimal gland (A,G), and samples 0 (B,H), 1 (C,I), 3 (D,J), 7 (E,K) and 10 (F,L) days post-reopening of the main excretory duct showed colocalizaion of Vimentin (red, AL) with epithelia proliferation markers K14 (green, AF) and ∆Np63 (green, GL) during tissue repair. Blue is DAPI staining. Bar represents 100 μm. RT-qPCR showed that BMP1 (A), CDH1 (B), SNAI2 (C), and VIM (D) mRNA levels dramatically changed after main secretory duct ligation and reopening (*P < 0.05).
