Combinatorial library sampling schematic and statistics. (A) An example of a random 200k-bead aliquot of a theoretical 100k-member bead library stock is used to illustrate the predicted compound distribution. The Poisson distribution describes the probability of observing any given library member with replicate class, k. Some compounds are not present in the aliquot, having a replicate class k = 0. (B) Library coverage, the fraction of the library observed ≥ k times, is plotted as a function of library equivalents sampled (ε).
