Simultaneous ESI-MS analysis of BSA and the integral membrane protein NapA. BSA can be detected at low collision voltages, suggesting that it is not incorporated into detergent micelles. Increasing the collision voltage releases NapA, revealing preferential binding of POPG. Asterisks indicate unfolded NapA monomers. POPG concentration is 25 μM.
