Effects of pioglitazone on ETC and mitochondrial dynamics in the kidney of Nx rats. The ETC proteins COX I was found to be decreased after surgery in both of isolated mitochondria (A) and tissue (B). The expression of ATP β and NDUFB8 were only found to be reduced in the renal tissue. Mitochondrial fusion proteins Opa-1 and Mfn2 were decreased and fusion protein Drp1 was increased in isolated mitochondria from the kidney of Nx rats (C).
