MRF-based relaxivity assessments for (a) gadolinium (Gd) and (b) manganese (Mn) contrast agents obtained on a 3 T MRI scanner using phantoms containing varying concentrations of a single contrast agent. Slopes of the fitted lines of R1, R2 vs. agent concentration (n = 6 for each agent) were used to determine the relaxivities (r₁ and r₂) of the two agents. Pearson correlations resulted in significant correlations of concentration vs. R1 and R2 for the two contrast agents (R² ≥ 0.997, two-tailed probability p < 0.0001).
