MRF-based relaxivity assessments for (a) gadolinium (Gd) and (b) manganese (Mn) contrast agents obtained on a 3 T MRI scanner using phantoms containing varying concentrations of a single contrast agent. Slopes of the fitted lines of R1, R2 vs. agent concentration (n = 6 for each agent) were used to determine the relaxivities (r1 and r2) of the two agents. Pearson correlations resulted in significant correlations of concentration vs. R1 and R2 for the two contrast agents (R2 ≥ 0.997, two-tailed probability p < 0.0001).
