Patients were dichotomized into low (none-to-mild) or high (moderate to severe) disease severity groups for the total GIT 2.0 score and its individual domains (constipation, diarrhea, or distension/bloating). Differential expression analysis for sequence count data (DESeq2) multivariate analysis was used to identify microbial taxa significantly associated with low versus high groups (Supplemental Table 1), and calculate the fold-change between groups. Positive and negative factor-change scores denote organisms decreased and increased in high disease severity groups, respectively. Legend provides color code of bacterial taxa; ā€œgā€ denotes genus-level taxa.
