Table demonstrates how age affects gene expression before and after injury. The average of the 3-month-old group in both the naïve and injury groups was considered the control mean value. Each individual sample’s fold change was compared to the control mean. Fold changes are presented in table as mean values of all samples in each group ± SEM. N = 4/group
