FIG 1

Bacterial loads in the liver and spleen of animals infected with L. monocytogenes or S. Typhimurium. C57BL/6 mice were infected intravenously with 104 CFU of L. monocytogenes (A and C) or S. Typhimurium (B and D). Groups of at least 3 animals were sacrificed at different time points, livers (A and B) and spleens (C and D) were aseptically harvested, and the bacterial load was evaluated. The graphs represent mean log10 CFU per organ and standard deviations.
