The gene-drive strategies are: (a) heterozygotic XX sex reversal; (b) homozygotic embryonic non-viability; and (c) homozygotic XX sterility. These trajectories assume an island carrying capacity (and starting population size) of 50 000 individuals and illustrate means derived from stochastic simulations for: (i) the population size; (ii) the percentage of the population with at least one gene-drive allele; and (iii) the percentage of the population with at least one resistance allele (i.e. at least one allele with no susceptible gRNA recognition sites remaining).
