Immunohistochemistry was carried out on serial DRGs cryo-sections of 14 μm from wild type, whirler and whirlinneo/neo mice. Immunohistochemical staining was performed with polyclonal antibodies for TRPV1, Whirlin and the neuronal markers CGRP, IB4 and NF200. Data expressed mean ± SEM as percentage of total neurons analyzed per each section. Three animals and a minimum of 5 sections per group were analyzed.
