Multiunit activity (MUA) recording in local neurons of dDG reveals optogenetically evoked spikes at different stimulation frequencies. Traces of dDG MUA from a representative animal during optogenetic stimulation (Left) and the corresponding higher resolution dDG spike traces extracted at two locations after the onset of stimulation (Middle, red; Right, green). The recordings demonstrate that hippocampal spikes are successfully elicited at all frequencies with no indication of failure.
