Tim4 mRNA level in NIH 3T3 cells was determined by real-time RT-PCR and normalized to the β-actin mRNA level. As a reference, the Tim4 mRNA level in resident peritoneal macrophages (rpMac) was similarly determined. N.d., not detected. (B) Transformation of TKO cells with mTim4. TKO cells and their transformants expressing mAxl, mMer, or mTyro3 were infected by a retrovirus carrying mTim4 cDNA.
