The effects of ICV injection of O-n-octanoylated ghrelin and α-MSH (1.0 or 2.0 nmol/rat) on cumulative food intake in freely fed rats. After ICV injection of saline (vehicle) or α-MSH, O-n-octanoylated ghrelin was injected ICV immediately, and cumulative food intake was measured at 1, 2, 4, 8, 12, and 24 h.
