The 5-year patient survival was assessed using a Kaplan–Meier analysis, and the significance of differences was determined by the log-rank test. Results of the Kaplan–Meier survival analysis are shown. Patients with high HS-CRP levels had higher mortality rates than patients in the low HS-CRP groups (log-rank test, χ2=24.400, P<0.001).
