Viscoelastic modulus, G, at 5 Hz measured by the LSR sensor is plotted as a function of coagulation time from blood samples obtained from a normal patient (with reported normal laboratory PT/INR value) and a patient on Coumadin medication. The G trace measured in real-time during coagulation was analyzed to estimate the PT and INR values. The blood sample from normal patient showed shorter PTLSR value (12 s) in comparison to the blood sample from the patient on Coumadin therapy (51 s). The corresponding PTLab values obtained from standard laboratory testing were 14 s and 43 s for the normal and Coumadin treated patient respectively.
